Prompt. Display a single page at the relevant time so you have a helpful reminder.
Review. At the end of each time period, check whether all actions were taken.
how not to use the checklists below:
Not a how-to-guide. It is meant to be used alongside other supports, including but not limited to Summer Training, Pre-Launch, and Success Manager coaching.
Not one-size-fits-all. Schools may need to modify the timelines or actions, especially if they are not able to operate an in-person program as usual. Please make a copy of the checklist so you can edit it.
Not student facing. It could, however, inform a student onboarding plan.

the first 8 weeks
In our Personalized Learning model, “Instructional Launch” is the way that schools get the academic year started. It includes faculty preparations before the first day of school, student onboarding and relationship-building in each component (Self-Direction, Mentoring, Projects and Math) at the start of the school year, and the first instructional cycle in each core class (teacher planning through to the scoring of the first project or unit). Instructional Launch is very important, because it is the opportunity to set the foundation and expectations for teaching and learning for the rest of the academic year.

Use this document to reference suggested ideas for how to build class session agendas so that you are teaching each objective to your students. These ideas for planning are not meant to be exhaustive; instead they are meant to give teams ideas to contextualize and create an appropriate plan for their community. Your team may need to do a combination of the strategies below given the uncertain nature of school reopening plans.
